5 Things to do While at ShopTalk in Las Vegas

ShopTalk is just around the corner, and while you’re busy planning your conference schedule, we all know the real fun starts when the sessions end. Whether it’s your first time in Vegas or your 50th, it’s always a fun city to take in for a few days. At Edgecase we are all about enrichment, enriching your data and enriching your life. Take a look at our top 5 things to do in Vegas before, after and in between ShopTalk sessions:

Museums Only Found in Vegas

Vegas has always been home to the weird and the wild, and that’s also true of their museums. Leave the art gallery trips for your next vacation, and spend some time browsing burlesque wear of legendary showgirls or going deep into Las Vegas’s criminal past with the best mob memorabilia.

Take a Leap

Vegas isn’t all about gambling and drinking. Step out of the casino and head over to The Stratosphere for rides that will get your adrenaline pumping. You can be shot 160 feet in the air on the Big Shot, hurled towards The Strip on X-Scream, or even jump off the side of the tower and bungee down, on the Side Jump!

Old Vegas

If you come to visit and skip downtown Vegas’s Fremont Street, you’re missing out! Break away from the craziness of The Strip and head to old downtown for a slower-paced, lower-priced afternoon or evening. Grab a footlong drink in the shape of a boot or guitar, take a ride on the SlotZilla Zipline or hit up a card table of slot machine! The table and slot minimums are lower on Fremont, allowing you to stretch your money far!

Circle the Strip

Afraid of heights, you may want to pass right over this option. If not, hop on The High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel! This wheel is even taller than it’s sister, The Eye, in London, UK! Located at The Linq Hotel and Casino, you can ride during the day or at night. I would suggest taking in the sunset, or the Las Vegas Strip lit up at night.

Entertainment Overload

Vegas is known for its shows. Some of the best performers in the world take residency in Las Vegas. There’s something for everyone; from magic shows like Criss Angel’s Mindfreak, to any of the mind boggling Cirque du Soleil performances (Beatles LOVE is my favorite) or even, Absinthe, one if the most in demand shows in Vegas right now – all within walking distance!
