Event season is busy, even busier when you’re on the road with little time to enjoy the places you visit.  In this blog series we highlight some of Dallas’ most interesting places and the best part? You can do everything in 90-minutes or less! Read on for more on our favorite place for epic dessert, and keep following the blog for new content! Without further ado…let’s check out Dallas!

Fact: you are going to be incredibly busy during’s Digital Summit, you’ll need to eat at some point. Unwind in a fun atmosphere jam packed with rock and roll legacies at the Hard Rock Café.  This infamous eatery is packed with everything from handcrafted cocktails to savory sweets and of course, rock and roll memorabilia. You can enjoy outdoor dining while appreciating a true taste of Texas: a hickory-smoked pulled pork with chipotle barbecue sauce, cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, crispy fried jalapenos, and onions on a toasted brioche. I’m on my way already…

If you’re anything like me then dessert is your favorite and you’ll be thrilled to know HRC has an endless amount of treats for your sweet tooth! How about a cheesecake made with Oreo cookie pieces? Or, maybe you like to keep it simple with a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream with coffee on the side to keep you energized through this exciting week.

In addition to the great eats you’re sure to enjoy, the café is best known for its walls lined with memorabilia from some of Texas’ great musicians, you might wander past Stevie Ray Vaughn’s boots or ‘Dimebag’ Darrell’s guitars.  If you’re really lucky, you may even pick a night that features a live band, rounding out a complete experience at the legendary Hard Rock.

Here’s a few other things you may not know about this state-of-the art restaurant:

  • The original Hard Rock Café Dallas was opened in 1986 and was located at McKinney Avenue; it was closed 21 years later and rebuilt at it’s current location.
  • The café achieved Silver LEED certification as it’s an environmentally sustainable, energy efficient building.
  • Besides famous boots and guitars, you’ll also find a black suit that Roy Orbison wore, a tie-dyed shirt from the Dixie Chicks, and more!
  • The Hard Rock Café is located near the American Airlines Center (go Mavs!), the Dallas World Aquarium and the Museum of Art.
  • The Rock Shop is jam packed with new, limited edition HRC gear. What better way to spark up an interesting conversation!

There you have it – an inside look at the Hard Rock Café!
